Maria D’Angelo | Designer
Maria grew up in Minnesota, often watching HGTV and imagining what she could build. She drew floor plans on graph paper for hours. And she also loved playing outside, like many Minnesota kids. “I’m still an outdoorsy person,” Maria explains. “My husky/shepherd mix, Yeti, and I hike everywhere. We’ve been on hiking road trips from the East Coast to Arizona.”
Maria’s nature-loving background and intrinsic spatial creativity continue to inspire and guide her career path. Her appreciation for the outdoors dovetails with her conviction that architectural design should keep the environment in mind. “I have an interest in adaptive reuse and environmentally friendly ways to build,” Maria says.
NewStudio’s team shares her commitment and enthusiasm for bringing thoughtful design to the built environment. “I’m excited about this cohort of designers here, and the opportunities to gain broader experience, especially in the retail area.”
