With strong creative and strategic skills, Livia adeptly handles the ongoing flurry of marketing and office tasks. She balances her time at NewStudio with her hobbies, including gardening and sewing. “I am into upcycling clothing, but I’ve sewn for years,” she says. Her upcycling talent fits well with the sustainability ethos at NewStudio. “It’s inspiring to work with people who appreciate creative reuse, whether it’s repurposing a historic building or a well-loved sweater.”

Livia’s educational pathway reflects her preservation and protection mindset. Her research experiences have contributed to ongoing work to mitigate pollution and promote ecological stewardship locally and internationally. “Lately, I’ve been reading a lot about trees,” she says. Whether she’s tromping through the rain forest in Costa Rica or tending her garden and houseplants, Livia’s heartfelt connection to nature and concern for the planet promise to make a positive and lasting difference.
