NewStudio’s projects often involve highlighting the warmth and character of existing or historic buildings, but Amis Trattoria in Devon Yard was part of a new construction project. The NewStudio team coaxed forward that same inviting ambiance in this 5,267 sf space, from the reclaimed wood flooring to the exposed steel roof trusses with contrasting exposed wood roof decking overhead. Ever so tactile, a special plaster coating finish on many of the space’s walls elevate standard painted sheetrock. A sublime aqua and terra cotta palette conveys the Anthropologie brand's contemporary aesthetic and complements the rich woodwork.
