Interior Design Intern
Hiring – March/April 2026- St. Paul, MN
NewStudio Architecture is actively seeking a motivated interior design student to assist on a variety of projects across the firm in residential, workplace, and retail sectors. The position is 15+ hours per week, depending on the applicant’s availability. We are seeking a student who is self-motivated, organized, professional, and excited to learn and have increasing responsibility in a firm setting.

Assist in the selection and specification of FF+E, as well as furniture
Work with project teams in all phases, from schematic sketches through presentation ‘boards’ to illustrate design intent and selections
Support the development and documentation of interior architecture and design drawings and details (REVIT)
May participate in the Construction Administration of projects, review of submittals, and finish samples
Assist with the preparation of high-end media materials for client presentations
Contribute to office activities, initiatives, and learning programs
Additional duties may be assigned

Candidates should currently be working on a bachelor’s degree in interior design or architecture.
Additionally preferred:
Enrollment in an accredited program
College juniors (or those with only one year left in their program of study)

Language Ability
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word; Revit software; AutoCAD; Adobe Photoshop; Adobe Illustrator; SketchUp; project management software (Design Manager) and Microsoft PowerPoint.
