BIM Technician – As-Built Specialist

Hiring – August/September 2026- St. Paul, MN

NewStudio Architecture is seeking a skilled and experienced BIM Technician to join our dynamic survey team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong 3D BIM modeling skills (specifically Revit) and an understanding of existing building construction.

The day-to-day tasks will involve the production of as-built Revit models, survey drawings, and existing condition reports in conjunction with other survey team members – turning real-world site data into precise digital models.

    • Work efficiently within project deadlines.

    • Use field data (point cloud scans, as-built drawings, photos, etc) to produce detailed as-built Revit models – training provided in-house.

    • Model in Revit and ensure models conform to level of quality required.

    • Work with survey team members to prepare detailed existing condition documents and reports.

    Additional duties may be assigned

    • Associate and/or Technical degree in Drafting/Design, Building Information Modeling (BIM), Architectural Technology, or equivalent.

    • Multiple years of professional experience preferred.

    • Strong technical skills – Proficiency in Revit and Microsoft Office Suite

    • Excellent understanding of building systems, and a basic understanding of commercial & residential construction standards.

    • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently.

    • Pay starting at $28/hr (commensurate with experience)
