Jon Huffmaster | Designer

Early in life, Jon began traveling abroad. He visited Russia, Southeast Asia, Romania, and Australia. International experiences introduced him to the powerful intersection of people and places.

He also served six years in the Army National Guard in Kansas and Minnesota, after completing his Master of Architecture degree. He served as an engineer some of that time, which means he trained with explosives. “It had nothing to do with architecture, of course, but it was pretty neat,” he said.

Since then, Jon has immersed himself in the world of architectural design, including its technology and its contributive potential to holistic results. Jon said, “I believe architecture can influence people who change communities through generative designs that solve universal problems.”

Jon’s technological expertise and project management skills, as well as his hands-on construction background, complement the diverse capabilities at NewStudio. “I’m excited about working on a variety of project types, and contributing to the firm’s creative and technical excellence,” Jon added.
