James Matthes | Intern

The Bachelor of Architecture program at Dunwoody College is fairly new, and James will be in just the second graduating class. "I love it there because unlike many traditional architecture schools, I get to stay with my cohort and take classes with them for all five years," he says. "It's a supportive and connected group, kind of like a family—it’s a cool culture."

James appreciates those qualities in NewStudio as well; they're part of the reason he wanted to gain student-working experience here. "Ever since I can remember, I've held a strong interest and admiration for architecture and design; it’s exciting to share that with the NewStudio staff." He admires the spontaneity in conversations in the office and easy-going professionalism that feels creative and productive. "Everyone is ready to get to work. Who wouldn’t want to be part of that?" he adds.
